About Us
Dania and Zach have been married for 10 years, and are blessed to have three beautiful daughters, Gabriela, Sofia, and Rebeca. Gabriela is 8 years old, Sofia is 7 years old, and Rebeca is 5 years old. Zach and Dania first met in Tegucigalpa, Honduras in 2008 while Zach was there serving as a missionary associate under his great uncle, Bill Strickland. Shortly after getting married, in 2011 they returned to Central Florida to be a part of the pastoral staff at Life Church Assembly of God in Fruitland Park. After serving several years as youth pastors, God spoke clearly to them to return to Honduras as career missionaries. In the fall of 2017, the Rix family landed in San Pedro Sula, Honduras to begin their first term. Currently, the Rix family is back stateside itinerating, with the goal of returning to Honduras for a second term in May 2022.
Honduras
Honduras is a beautiful country made up of wonderful people. Unfortunately, there are serious needs in this great country. Nearly half of the population is younger than 16 years old. Children and youth are at extreme risk of poverty, abuse, violence, gangs, and drugs. Honduras has continually had one of the world’s highest murder rates and corruption runs rampant. Pray for this wonderful country and that God will bring a revival that will change lives for all of eternity.

Our Ministry
CHURCH PLANTING
The Assemblies of God in Honduras has begun a church planting initiative among the Garifuna people group along the north coast of the country. There are roughly 50 Garifuna villages where vibrant, spirit-filled churches are needed. Currently the Rix family is actively planting a church in the community of Bajamar, just outside of Puerto Cortes. They are seeing souls saved and discipled among the people there. Please pray for open doors into other Garifuna villages and for workers to be trained to pastor new church plants.
CENTRO DE VIDA
When God first call Zach and Dania back to Honduras, he put this phrase in their hearts, “Reach a generation and you can reach a nation.” The Rix Family have a passion to reach at-risk kids with the love of Christ and to help show them a better future. Partnering with a local church in San Pedro Sula, Centro de Vida or Life Center, was established as an after-school program. Children from a local public school come throughout the week and receive free lunch and tutoring. Pray that during their second term in Honduras, Centro de Vida will be able to expand to more locations and reach more children with the love of Jesus.
PROFESSIONAL NETWORK
Within the major urban centers of Honduras, many university students and young professionals need to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. In early 2016, the national church asked for a ministry to be established to specifically reach out to this demographic. Professional Network was formed with this purpose in mind. Conferences, seminars, small groups, and bible studies, are going on periodically in Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula, in order to make an impact in lives of university students and young professionals.
GLOBAL UNIVERSITY
Recently, Zach became the national representative for Global University in Honduras. Currently, there are roughly 75 students throughout the country working on achieving their Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible and Theology. Pray that during this next term on the field, this important ministry will continue to grow in order for pastors to be trained and sent out.
CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
During the past four years, the Rix Family was able to oversee the building of 3 churches, and they also were able to put new roofs on two other churches. More church plants along the coast have been identified for possible building projects over the next term. Also, currently a two-story dormitory and library building is underway at the Bible School in Tocoa, and a school for deaf children is being built in San Pedro Sula.
